Black Kampot Pepper from Hennes Finest

The black Kampot pepper is picked when the fruits begin to ripen and they have turned green-yellow in color. The sun takes care of the rest: when the unpeeled grains are dried, the pepper is fermented by enzymes in the pulp until it has developed its typical black colour. After cleaning, the fruits are carefully selected by hand. This results in a reject rate of around 20 percent – all inferior or damaged grains are sorted out. This ensures that each jar of Imperial Kampot Pepper is free of off-flavors and contains an immaculate selection.
